UTC's Fraternity and Sorority Life CommunityThe University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is home to 25 fraternities and sororities. These organizations are governed by the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the Panhellenic Association, and the Interfraternity Council. At over 1400 active members, our Greek community comprises just over 12% of UTC's undergraduate and graduate population.
What is #GoGreekUTC?The #GoGreekUTC movement is a recently-developed marketing initiative started to help better communicate the story of UTC's fraternity and sorority community. By using the hashtag #GoGreekUTC, anybody can learn more about what it means to be a part of a fraternity or sorority. We encourage you to use the hashtag #GoGreekUTC on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to read about how joining UTC's fraternity and sorority life community can help you make the most of your undergraduate experience!

Why Go Greek? Not everyone chooses to join a Greek organization, but many students do! Some reasons to consider going Greek include additional opportunities to create new or to build upon existing friendships, to support meaningful philanthropies, to develop valuable life skills, to engage in valuable leadership roles within the organizations, to build a professional network, to get involved on campus and in the community, and to participate in fun social events. Perhaps one of the biggest and most important reasons to consider joining is the amount of academic and personal support that is unique and can only be found by joining a Greek organization.
